A new place for weddings and receptions, Gruene Estate

With all the rustic charm of Texas and the romantic elegance of France, Gruene Estate is New Braunfels’ newest wedding venue.

Owners, Danny and Anna Lisa Tamez have created a unique and beautiful setting for couples to begin their lives together.

Stained glass windows from an old church in England were the inspiration for the open-air chapel that seats up to 200 wedding guests.  As the bride enters through the large wooden doors from France, a bell in the bell tower announces her arrival.

Following the ceremony, guests gather in the rustic pavilion for dinner and dancing. Tables and chairs handcrafted from Iowa barn wood, French chandeliers and lanterns, and oversized basket lamps provide a homey, romantic atmosphere.  Brides are welcome to use the complimentary array of vintage style decorations including mercury glass votives, wooden lanterns, hurricane vases, and tin & woven baskets as part of her décor.

The pavilion includes a built-in stage that can accommodate a band, DJ, or featured seating for the wedding party.  State-of-the-art audio and video equipment are available for sharing your special memories.

A covered bar, fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs, and a horseshoe pitching area keep guests entertained throughout the evening.  Two longhorn cattle and a horse, or two, keep a watchful eye on the merriment from across the fence.

With 15 acres of beautiful Texas landscape surrounding it, Gruene Estate offers peaceful privacy and the gentle breezes that only the hill country offers.

Gruene Estate is available for your wedding and/or reception.  Overnight accommodations are available in the historic cottages on the adjacent property.  For more information please visit us at www.grueneestate.com.
